RC Hluboká vyřídil MG společně s RC Colombo ze Srí Lanky, partnerským RC z Wiveliscombe, UK, Distriktem 2240 a dalšími 2 distrikty o celkové výši 23 000 USD.

The focus of the  Alzheimer Service Centre  is to provide an environment where people with dementia feel comfortable. Depending on their wishes and abilities, it offers the person with dementia following services

1.  Day Care Centre, which will provide persons with dementia care and respite for the person, and the family caregiver

2.  A fully equipped Training Centre, which  provides training and information to the public, especially those who are family carers and professional carers

3.  Library & Resource Centre

4.  Memory Clinic

5.  Other activities such as reminiscence therapy, music sessions, gentle exercises, arts and crafts, cooking, letter writing and gardening.

The objective of the proposed  project is to provide the items listed below which center lacks at the moment;

1.  Grab bars in toilets and hand rails around the building and grounds to make the place elderly friendly

2.  Kitchen and pantry cupboards, equipment and utensils

3.  Window covers for the auditorium.  Currently, the auditorium has excessive lighting which prevents effective use of audio visuals.

4.  Furniture, fittings and equipment needed in the three visiting volunteers rooms,reception area, training room, day activity/dining room and waiting room

More than 200 patients are expected to receive direct services from the center. For entire Sri Lanka, this is the only such service center, hence it’s services will benefit the entire Alzheimer community in general which is estimated to exceed 150,000.

The project is estimated to be completed in 6 months.
