Camp Name: “Discover Sun Moon Lake – the Heart of Taiwan”
The 5th edition, since 2015
Organizing District: D3462 of Rotary Youth Exchange Multidistrict Taiwan (RYEMT)
Participants:
Max. 14 youths aged 16-18 years old, one boy or one girl from each country
Participants will receive acceptance confirmation within 14 days after application.
The camp will be cancelled if we fail to recruit more than 10 youths by end of November.
Camp Focus: friendship, cultures, sightseeing, sports and fun
Camp Language: English (with some Mandarin Chinese)
Costs: 250 euros camp fee, round trip tickets to Taiwan as well as money for personal expenses
Accommodation: school dormitories, host families & hotels
Clothing: casual wear for sightseeing, hiking, and sports, plus a smart casual or traditional
dress for welcome party.
Insurance: All participants must be insured against illness, accident and third party damages
according to RI recommendation. Email insurance copy for our approval before camp time.
Arrival: Dec. 26th, 2023 best before 17:00 at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE)
Departure: Jan. 08th, 2024 best later than 11:00 a.m. at Airport TPE

Dec. 27, 2023 (Wed.) Orientation and cruising Sun Moon Lake and surrounding areas
Dec. 28, 2023 (Thurs.) Visit local agricultural industries and the tea town
Dec. 29, 2023 (Fri.) Visit old towns of history and cities of modern arts in central Taiwan
Dec. 30, 2023 (Sat.) Stay with host families
Dec. 31, 2023 (Sun.) ~ Jan. 02, 2024 (Tues.) Taipei Metropolitan Tour and visit Chips Park
Jan. 03, 2024 (Wed.) Chinese culture and art skills learning at Dayeh University
Jan. 04, 2024 (Thurs.) Chinese cooking learning and night market shopping
Jan. 05, 2024 (Fri.) Visit aboriginal tribes and their cultures
Jan. 06, 2024 (Sat.) Hiking He-Huan Mountain, above 3400 meters high
