Rotarians from around the world enjoyed a unique ski week in Bulgaria and are already looking forward to the next gatherings in Austria, Japan, and Canada.

Dear Rotarians, dear skiing friends,

In March 2025, Pamporovo, Bulgaria offered us pure skiing pleasure: perfectly groomed slopes, modern lifts, varied pistes for everyone, and exciting snowmobile tours. Well-organized ski races delighted all Rotary members from 15 countries worldwide. Thanks to the warm hospitality, we could get to know Bulgarian culture, dances, music, historic sites, and caves. The vertical meters skied and the cultural experiences made this week truly unique. In the Rotary spirit, we supported the organizer’s project for visually impaired children. Heartfelt thanks go to our friends from the Rotary Club Smoljan and the organizing team led by Boris Kadrekov and Lyubo Sirakov.

In 2026, ISFR week will take place not only in Europe but also from February 8–14 in Hakuba Village, Nagano, Japan, and from March 7–14 in Sun Peaks Resort, British Columbia, Canada. However, I would like to warmly invite you to the geographically closest ski resort for us – Lech, Austria, from January 24–31, 2026.

Let’s enjoy the sunshine on our faces and powder snow under our skis together with dozens of Rotarians from around the globe! Let’s make new friends and discover another part of Europe. Guided skiing across all interconnected resorts with local guides, a skiing day with an Austrian skiing star, and many more highlights await. A charity jazz concert, fondue, daily après-ski bar, and final night races under artificial lights. The week will conclude with a festive gala dinner and awards ceremony.

Lech offers hotels from 3 to 5 stars, 300 km of marked pistes, 200 km of off-piste variations, and 87 lifts and cable cars – the largest ski resort in Austria, connecting St. Anton – St. Christoph – Stuben, Lech – Oberlech – Zürs, and Warth-Schröcken. The hosting Rotary clubs have secured favorable prices and a Rotary project that we will support together.
