Helping Kherson: Mobile Energy Sources

At the PELS conference in Olomouc, a fundraising initiative was introduced to support portable battery power sources for Ukrainian defenders in Kherson. A live demonstration of the equipment on site attracted significant interest—participants actively asked for details, and many contributed.

In response to your questions, we are providing a clear overview, including payment details.

The fundraiser is organised by the Rotary Club Pardubice, with Michal Sláma as the responsible person. Its aim is to provide portable battery power sources for units operating in Kherson—a city located directly on the front line. Kherson has long been exposed to shelling, as well as power and signal outages. In these conditions, defenders operate not only to carry out military operations but also to protect the civilian population. According to repeated testimonies and international reports, the area has also seen targeted drone attacks on civilians, sometimes described as a so-called “human safari”.

Reliable energy sources are therefore essential. They enable equipment to be charged, maintain communication, and ensure that defenders can operate even where infrastructure has completely failed. The fundraiser focuses on portable battery units that are quiet, mobile, and suitable for deployment near the front line. They also emit minimal heat, making them difficult for enemy drones to detect. In addition, they can be recharged using solar panels, significantly increasing their usability in the field.

The current price of one unit, after discount, is EUR 770. Funds have already been raised for several units, and the fundraiser continues.

Thank you to everyone who contributes—every contribution has a direct impact where it is truly needed.
