The District Training Assembly (DŠS) and the President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) will take place on 21st and 22nd March 2025, traditionally at the Flora Hotel in Olomouc (Krapkova 439/34, 779 00 Olomouc).
In accordance with the binding legislation of Rotary International, I would like to remind you that attendance at the District Training Assembly (DŠS) and the President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is unequivocally mandatory for future presidents in the Rotary year 2025/26. Without this participation, you will not be able to assume your role.
It is also essential to attend the entire event. Therefore, I kindly ask for your timely arrival and your commitment to stay until the end.
If, for serious reasons, you are unable to attend, it is necessary to apologise in advance and send a substitute—an active member of your club—who can pass on all relevant information to you. The participation of the future club secretary is also very important, as they will support the president during their term.
In March and April 2025, a replacement training session will be held for those future club officials who could not attend the DŠS/PETS on the scheduled date for serious and previously excused reasons. This training will be combined with a seminar for club secretaries and will focus primarily on working with the RI and district websites, as well as on the necessary legislative obligations of clubs. These seminars will be conducted online (via Teams) on several dates. Specific dates and a registration link will be communicated to you in due course.
Only the future president for 2025/26 or an active member of the Rotary club, authorised by the current club president, may physically vote on the conclusions of the discussed points at the District Training Assembly on behalf of the Rotary club (i.e., the Rotary club of which the future president is a member). It is essential that the voting delegate representing their Rotary club (when the future president cannot attend) has a written power of attorney signed by the current president (2024/25), which must be presented upon registration (the president's signature is not officially verified).
Given our interest in the participation of the younger generation, we also invite the presidents of Rotaract clubs from our district to attend PETS.
The participation fee was to be paid by the sending club by 13th March 2025, both for the future president and secretary of the Rotary club, as well as for the satellite Rotary club and the Rotaract club.
The participation fee for each Rotary club is 4000 CZK / 160 EUR. Each additional participant from the club pays half the rate.
The participation fee for the Rotaract club is reduced to 50%, i.e., 2000 CZK / 80 EUR. Payment for additional participants from the club will be as stated above.
