Inspiring Alumni Meeting: Happy Hour Filled with Ideas and Discussions

How to Bring Innovation and Handle Rejection in the Professional Environment?

The second Wednesday in June became a day of inspiration and lively discussions during the second Alumni Association Happy Hour. Members gathered to find answers to questions that often resonate in corporate and professional environments: When and how should one present their own idea? Do companies desire innovation? Who should we offer our ideas to, and how? How should we deal with rejection, and what is more challenging – rejection or silence?

Helping to answer these questions was the experienced sociologist and friend from Rotary Club Olomouc City, Vojta Bednář. His expert advice and insights into the social aspects of professional life sparked a vibrant discussion among the attendees.

The discussion was not limited to just innovation and rejection. Members of the Alumni Association also addressed topics such as how to set personal goals effectively, how to assist young people in influencing and directing their lives positively, and how to transition into a phase where we become responsible for influencing others.

The meeting provided not only new knowledge and inspiration but also a strong sense of community and support among the members of the Alumni Association. This Happy Hour once again demonstrated that sharing experiences and seeking answers to important questions together is key to both professional and personal growth.
