New Assistants of the District Governor 2024-2025

Assistant of the District Governor for Bratislava and Western Slovakia

Pavol Šalátek

RC Bratislava Danube

My name is Pavol Šalátek, and I am the new Assistant Governor for Bratislava and Western Slovakia.

I have been a member of the Rotary organization since 2005, when I first joined Rotaract as a co-founding member of the Rotaract Club Bratislava Danube. Since 2013, I have been an active member of the Rotary Club Bratislava Danube, where I have had the honor to serve in several roles – Club President, Secretary, Treasurer, and for five years as Youth Exchange Officer, a role for which I received the Tomáš J. Baťa Award. I have been involved in many club projects, with some of the most successful being the co-organization of the International Skiing Fellowship 2018 in Jasná and coordinating collections for Ukraine during my presidential year.

In my personal life, together with my wife Radka, we dedicate our energy and love to our son, Luca. I live an active lifestyle and pursue athletics, particularly middle- and long-distance running. So far, I have completed five world marathons (Berlin, Boston, Chicago, New York, and Vienna). Professionally, I work in global trade at ESET.

Serving at the district level is a fascinating experience for me, as it gives me the opportunity to meet new friends and to gain a deeper understanding of how Rotary clubs function in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. From my role as Assistant Governor, I expect to further strengthen Rotary friendships and contribute to the successful operation of our entire district.
