Rotary Club Bratislava Danube donated fully functional laptops to ten primary school pupils in Holíč. Through this targeted assistance, the Club aims to improve access to education for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and encourage them to continue learning and developing their potential.
As part of their regular Monday meeting, members of Rotary Club Bratislava Danube visited Holíč Town Hall, where they presented fully functional laptops to ten pupils from socially disadvantaged families in the presence of representatives of the town.
The project was initiated by our long-standing member Stefan Petö, with the support of the other Club members.
Following extensive discussions with the town’s representatives, ten pupils were selected in cooperation with the headteachers of local primary schools. Their family circumstances and financial situation had prevented them from obtaining a laptop of their own.
The aim of the project is to provide specific, targeted support to primary school pupils in their educational efforts and to encourage them to inspire their classmates and friends through their positive attitude.
The smiles on the faces of everyone attending the presentation ceremony at Holíč Town Hall spoke louder than words.
In addition to supporting children’s education, Rotary Club Bratislava Danube intends to continue its meaningful support for the local youth boxing club, with which it has been cooperating for the past three years.
