Cycling Across Bratislava’s Bridges

Rotary Club Bratislava Danube invited members of neighbouring Rotary clubs and Rotary Youth Exchange students to join a cycling tour of the city. The nearly 38-kilometre route across Bratislava’s bridges combined exercise, discovery and an enjoyable gathering of Rotary friends.

This year, for the first time, we expanded what had originally been a club cycling event by inviting members of neighbouring Rotary clubs and, in particular, their exchange students. We met before noon on 6 June 2026 and set off together on a route taking us across all of Bratislava’s bridges.

At each bridge, Club President Peter Klučka shared some essential information about its construction, history and importance to the city’s transport network. He also added a number of interesting and lesser-known facts.

During the nearly 38-kilometre ride, we had an opportunity to make new friends, strengthen long-standing connections and see Bratislava from a different perspective. We concluded the successful day with a late lunch together at a floating restaurant on the Danube.

We hope that even more participants will join us next year, including members and exchange students from other Rotary clubs.
