The news about the launching of a Rotary club in Prague quickly spread during 1926 to other places in the Republic and raised understandable interest. Members of RC Prague started explaining their acquaintances, friends and business partners what Rotary is about. Josef Schulz, a member of the Prague club, in co-operation with F.W.Teele, the RI general delegate for continental Europe, started to prepare the launching of new clubs (Jičín, Moravská Ostrava, České Budějovice, Podmokly, Králův Dvůr, Liberec, Cheb, Mariánské lázně).
Did you know you can support the Rotary Foundation project as a "spectator"? It's a simple yet impactful way to contribute!
Clubs can take advantage of our "Buy a Cinema Ticket and Get a Thousand for a Hundred" initiative. A "spectator ticket" costs just 100 USD, and the funds raised go directly to support the Rotary Foundation district grants. The challenge? Choosing which inspiring project to support! From peace-building initiatives to disease prevention and clean water projects, there's a diverse range of causes to get involved with. Stay tuned for more details on our global grants in future editions.
The Rotaract Club of Brno hosted its annual "Concert in the Dark" fundraising event on Wednesday, April 17th, at Café Práh in Brno.

For the 15th consecutive year, RC Prostějov proudly hosted its Easter Lamb Exhibition in the elegant setting of the National House in Prostějov.

Viktor Gratza, sponsored by the Rotary club Opava and hosted by the otary Club of Timmins-Porcupine, Rotary District 7010 Youth Exchange, Canada, shares his experience with us:
When I first learned that I'd be visiting Calgary over spring break, I wasn't particularly thrilled. After all, it's just another city within a city, isn't it? But I soon discovered it was much more than that.
Viktor Komárek from Rotary Club Ostrava International is currently enjoying his exchange stay in Brazil through Rotary Rye450. Viktor shares his experiences from his trip:
Our first destination was the island of Santo Aleixo. Given our group size, we took several boats to reach the island. The journey wasn't long as the island is quite close to the coast. Upon arrival, most of us wasted no time and headed straight to the sea to cool off from the intense heat. After some beach activities, we decided to explore the island's interior together.
True to form, I managed to get lost along the way.
