The Rotary Fellowship for Beekeeping (District 2240)

“The Rotary Fellowship for Beekeeping (District 2240) was established in Banská Bystrica.”

Mission
The Rotary Fellowship for Beekeeping (RFV), established within Rotary International District 2240, comprises Rotarians who are engaged in beekeeping and keen to exchange experiences, share information and pursue further learning. It is an informal association initiated by the Rotary Club of Banská Bystrica, founded on Rotary friendship, mutual respect and a readiness to support one another, as well as other beekeepers and those interested in apiculture. Activities will also include promoting beekeeping as a meaningful endeavour for the benefit of the community.

Membership
Only a Rotarian of a club in Rotary International District 2240 who is an active beekeeper and has expressed interest may join the RFV. Interest is confirmed by submitting the membership form, which is available from the District 2240 Secretary or on the district website www.rotary2240.org under “Documents to Download” (accessible after logging in to the members’ area).

Activities
The RFV’s work is based on communication via a closed RFV D-2240 WhatsApp group and on at least one in-person meeting each Rotary year. All activities are coordinated by the RFV Chair in cooperation with the RFV Secretary. These offices will be filled at the inaugural meeting, each for a two-year term.
