Legislative changes after the Rotary International 2025 Legislative Assembly

1. New wording of the RI statutory documents

Rotary International Headquarters has already published on its website www.rotary.org the new texts of the RI statutory documents, in which the results of the 2025 RI Legislative Assembly vote have been incorporated:

  • Constitution of Rotary International (Constitution of Rotary International),
  • Bylaws of Rotary International (Bylaws of Rotary International) and
  • Standard Rotary Club Constitution (Standard Rotary Club Constitution)

2. Amendment to the Rotary Code of Policies

Incoming presidents, secretaries and treasurers must complete their required learning plans in the Rotary Learning Centre by 1 July each year.

The Rotary Learning Centre is accessible via the Learning section of the RI website. Courses are organised thematically and require members to log in. Please select the “Club Leadership” category and choose the modules relevant to your board role.

The Board of Directors of Rotary International has also amended section 61.010.1 (Sergeants-at-Arms) of the Rotary Code of Policies to permit Rotaractors, as well as Rotarians, to serve as sergeants-at-arms (ushers) at Rotary events.
