How to contribute to The Rotary Foundation for POLIO

Card payment or SEPA bank transfer – a guide for clubs

A step-by-step guide from the district TRF team on how clubs and members can contribute to The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus Fund – by card on rotary.org or by SEPA bank transfer – so that every contribution is recorded correctly.

Below is an overview of the payment options – online by card and by bank transfer – including a practical step-by-step guide, so that your contribution is recorded correctly and used to the full.

Payment by bank card
According to RI guidance, this is the preferred option. On behalf of the club, the payment is ideally made by the president, secretary, executive secretary or treasurer. A bank card issued for the club account is required.
1. Go to www.rotary.org.
2. Click 'Donate' and continue to 'POLIOPLUS FUND' – this time NOT to the Annual Fund SHARE, but to the option next to it.
3. Choose either A) One-time Donation or B) Recurring Donation. Select the amount from the preset options or enter your own amount.
4. The system will ask you to log in, if you have not done so at the start. Further down the same page, choose:

  • Donate from Club – ideal if your club has a fixed amount per member;
  • Donate from Members – ideal if you want to record who contributes and how much. Active and honorary members are listed together alphabetically.

5. Enter the personal details, the club address and the payment details.
6. A summary is shown before you approve the payment. Click 'Submit' and you are done. A confirmation message is displayed and a payment confirmation is sent to your email.
Thank you for your donation.

Payment by bank transfer – SEPA
This is a SEPA payment, which is simpler than a standard international payment and does not require the bank's BIC code. Clubs in the Czech Republic can pay from a euro or a CZK account; when paying from a CZK account, your bank will charge a transfer fee according to its price list.

Payment details for both SK and CZ clubs – bank transfer to Deutsche Bank AG, EUR account
Contributions will be credited at the official RI exchange rate valid on the day the funds are received. Current rates: https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/exchange-rates
