The journey of a young musician to a world-renowned stage is never straightforward. The story of Vojtěch Fišera shows that talent is only the beginning – true success is built on perseverance, self-belief, and the support of those willing to open doors and lend a helping hand.
The story of young violinist and pianist Vojtěch Fišera has taken him to a place where the dreams of many artists both begin and culminate – New York. It was here that he prepared intensively for his performance on 17 December 2025, which took place at the legendary Carnegie Hall, a stage symbolising the highest artistic achievement. His journey, however, is not defined by talent alone, but above all by daily discipline, patience, and the courage to persevere when progress comes slowly. In this lies the true strength of his story – a powerful message for his entire generation.
Every young person who chooses to pursue music, sport, science, or any other field holds their destiny largely in their own hands. Rotary can help – by opening doors, offering support, and creating opportunities. Yet the decisive step forward must always be taken by the individual. Hours of practice, repetition, doubt, and small victories are what ultimately determine success. Vojtěch is proof that perseverance and humility walk hand in hand with great dreams.
In August 2025, five Rotary clubs from District D 2240 agreed on a truly inspiring project. The support of the Rotary Club Jičín-Nymburk, Rotary Club Pardubice, Rotary Satellite Club of Telč-Prague Golf / NGW, Rotary Club Tábor, and Rotary Club Hradec Králové, together with the patronage of internationally acclaimed violinist Pavel Šporcl, enabled Vojtěch to stand on the threshold of an extraordinary opportunity. How he transforms this chance, however, depends solely on him. And that is the strongest motivation for other young talents – no one can walk their path for them. Success is not a coincidence, but the result of long-term effort, faith in oneself, and the willingness to continue even in moments of exhaustion.
The aim of this support goes beyond a single performance. It is about joy, positive energy, and inspiration that a young person can give back to society through their story. Friendship, cooperation, and a willingness to help others are values on which Rotary is built – and which Vojtěch naturally embodies through his journey. His music has the power to connect people, offer hope, and show that the world can indeed be a better place.
May this story therefore serve as encouragement to all young people: persevere, believe in yourselves, and keep working on your goals. Opportunities come to those who are prepared. And when talent is combined with honest work and good intentions, dreams can become reality – even on the stage of Carnegie Hall.
