An exceptional musical evening combining the atmosphere of the First Czechoslovak Republic, timeless music, and outstanding artists of the Czech cultural scene will take place on 1 March at the Rudolfinum in Prague. Rotarians and all lovers of quality music are warmly invited to a concert celebrating the 120th anniversary of the birth of Jaroslav Ježek.
Dear Rotarians,
I would like to cordially invite you, your club members, and all admirers of the work of V+W+J to the largest concert we have ever organised.
This festive First Republic–style concert will commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Jaroslav Ježek and will take place on 1 March at 7:00 p.m. at the Rudolfinum. The evening promises not only an extraordinary musical experience, but also a return to the spirit of an era that profoundly shaped Czech cultural life.
The concert will feature distinguished guests, including singer Dan Bárta, pianist Ondřej Kabrna, and, for several pieces, the Memory of Nations Orchestra conducted by Matěj Kroupa. Together, they will pay tribute to a composer whose music and legacy remain deeply relevant more than a century after his birth.
The concert is organised entirely on our own initiative and without any public subsidies. Despite this, ticket prices have been set as accessibly as possible, ranging from CZK 290 to CZK 1,290. Tickets are already on sale and may also serve as an original and meaningful Christmas gift. Tickets are available for purchase ZDE
I firmly believe that Jaroslav Ježek’s legacy deserves proper recognition and that, with your support, we can fill the Rudolfinum by 1 March and create a truly dignified celebration. After all, even the most beautiful music needs an audience to come alive.
Thank you in advance for sharing this invitation within your clubs and networks. I very much look forward to meeting many of you at the concert.
