On the evening of September 26, 2024, an extraordinary benefit concert took place at the stunning Arkady Hof Hotel & Restaurant in Stupava, with all proceeds supporting humanitarian projects for Ukraine. This event was not only a cultural highlight but also a deep expression of solidarity and compassion for those whose lives have been shattered by war.
The concert featured a lineup of esteemed artists, including the world-renowned soprano Andrea Vizvári, the celebrated violinist Peter Michalica, and the talented young Ukrainian pianist Mykola Myroshnychenko, whose emotive performance moved the audience. Their remarkable performances created an unforgettable atmosphere, uniting everyone present in a shared mission of support for Ukraine.
One of the evening's distinguished guests was the Ukrainian Ambassador to Slovakia, Mr. Myroslav Kastran, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for Slovakia’s continued support of his country during these challenging times. His presence underscored the significance of the event and further strengthened the ties between Slovakia and Ukraine.
Thanks to the generosity of the attendees, an impressive €4,200 was raised, which will be directed to two critical humanitarian initiatives:
Therapy Garden Kyiv – An innovative project providing therapeutic support to individuals affected by the war in Ukraine, particularly those suffering from trauma or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This initiative offers not only physical but also psychological healing, both of which are crucial in times of crisis.
Kyiv Children’s Hospital – Part of the funds will support the reconstruction of the largest children’s hospital in Kyiv, which was devastated by rocket attacks on July 8, 2024. The aid will help restore essential healthcare services for children affected by the conflict.
Several Rotary Clubs from Bratislava also played a key role in supporting and organizing this important event. The funds raised during the concert will be delivered directly through the Rotary Club of Kyiv Sophia, ensuring that the aid reaches those who need it most.
This remarkable evening was organized by the Rotary Club of Bratislava Danube in collaboration with the HOLLEN Foundation, both of which joined forces to support Ukraine and alleviate the suffering caused by the war. It was a night not just of music, but of hope and solidarity, reminding us that even in the most difficult times, we can come together to make a difference for those in need.
