Today is World Polio Day

Let's Continue the Mission Together

Today, October 24th, we mark World Polio Day—a day for Rotarians worldwide to reaffirm our long-standing mission: a world free of polio. The recent rise in polio cases in Afghanistan, Gaza, and Pakistan is a stark reminder that our fight against polio is not yet over.

Rotary has been at the forefront of this mission since the beginning, and we are determined to contribute to the complete eradication of polio globally. We understand that until the poliovirus is entirely eliminated, every country remains at risk of its reintroduction.

On this day, let’s reflect within our clubs: Have we already contributed to the End Polio Now campaign this year? Remember, every contribution we make is tripled through our partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, amplifying our impact on the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI).
